Amanda

Owner / Teacher

Amanda was finally able to drop the intense dislike she had for her body and self through the practice of Baptiste Power Yoga. Not that it never comes up again but that she can recognize it and choose something different. Changing the way she felt on the inside completely changed everything on the outside.

Amanda’s own transformation is what inspires and creates a fire behind her teaching. She would like everyone to be at ease with exactly where they are and how they look and feel.

Amanda will teach you to “Drop What You Know” and experience yourself without the judgement, fear and dislike we make up in our minds. To step into your own power, from your inside out.

Jericho:

Is a person like you and not unlike your neighbor.

Manages some of the Eight limbs of yoga.

Believes in action for the sake of it and not the fruits there-of.

Willing to accept a nice cup of tea from strangers.

Why Baptiste Power Yoga?

It is a systematic blend of methodology and practice,

designed to guide the practitioner towards their ‘true north’ and

their full potential to do good in the world around them.

I began practicing yoga three years ago as a supplement to running, a means to make myself stretch. It wasn’t until I began practicing Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga that I began to open my mind and really absorb the practice. I noticed the positive adjustments in my attitude and outlook, and realized how drastically different I felt in periods when my practice was sustained versus periods when I strayed away from the mat.

It’s much easier now to sit with a situation, to just be. I can see myself acting with thought, not reacting to what comes up. Power yoga to me means more than the physical intensity of the practice, but of the mental and emotional strength that comes along with it. I see how my practice is affected when I bring things in from the outside world, but I’m happy to see when my life off the mat is affected by my practice.

I look forward to my first Baptiste Level I training in 2013. Through my practice, I have found what I need for my life right now. As a teacher, I hope to inspire others to find what they need, be it peace, space, strength, or even just a good stretch. No matter what you’re looking for, yoga will teach you to live from within your [true] self. Sometimes your mind starts walking around like it’s in charge of stuff; that’s when it’s time to roll out your mat.

Is a positive force that guides students to be a yes to their full potential. Holds space until they are ready, "Which is Now!" He will teach yoga to anyone that breathes. He has been in the Navy to serve his country and been to prison to do his time. He is inspired to help prisoners and their transition into the free world. He allowed trouble transitioning from military life to civilian life and a struggle with addiction to pornography to influence the choices that led him to prison. With the help and support of his family, friends and yoga he is confidant in who he is Now. He believes that life is in the Now and that is where we should live from. He has a desire to share anything from his past to better your life, the community and world.
