Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga is an awareness based, physical practice, that empowers you to tap into your highest potential as a human being on and off your mat. Teaching to all levels (beginners, intermediate, advanced) in a class creates union with others and holds each student accountable for being fully present in their own bodies.
This dynamic practice teaches physically that bones are stacked and skin hugs to muscle and muscle to bone from the True North Alignment system. A system where all joints are stacked and the pelvis is neutral. Themes of the practice are "Be a Yes", "Ready Now", "Let Go". The practices and techniques are meditation, inquiry and asana (physical practice).

The Bowspring is dynamic and moves in every direction with a double S-Curve shape in the spine. The Bowspring posture positively affects the nervous and circulatory systems. Students can expect to see better mental focus, emotional clarity and a reduction in stress.By increasing awareness of our individual postural habits, we are able to more skillfully choose a more balanced alignment, thereby clearing chronic aches, pains and other health issues. Elementals - A great place to start.
Level 1 - Once you start to understand and integrate the Elementals into your life. This is the next step.
Flow Your Bow - Once you have 10 hours of practice please try this. The teacher will take class with you. So you need to understand the algorithm of the Bowspring before you can join in.
AC Power Yoga teaches Yin Yoga because it is vital for a balanced approach in your practice on and off your mat.
The two major differences between a Yin an Yang (muscular) practice are that Yin postures are done with the muscles relaxed and held for at least 5 minutes. This is because in Yin Yoga you work connective tissue and it does not stretch like muscle. Muscle needs rhythm and repetition where connective tissue needs time. Yin Yoga will also better prepare you for meditation.
This class will teach you acceptance, patience and compassion.

Yin Yoga is seated and does not engage muscularly. Instead it works connective tissue from a place of meditation and awareness.
