Amanda is a keen observer. She will guide you to do more than you thought you could do in a compassionate, mindful way, with integrity to the system she is teaching. She hopes to share with everyone how to learn a postural alignment system that encourages accountability in supporting yourself by working wise instead of hard.
Is a positive force that guides students to be a yes to their full potential. Holds space until they are ready, "Which is Now!" He will teach yoga to anyone that breathes. He has been in the Navy to serve his country and been to prison to do his time. He is inspired to help prisoners and their transition into the free world. He allowed trouble transitioning from military life to civilian life and a struggle with addiction to pornography to influence the choices that led him to prison. With the help and support of his family, friends and yoga he is confidant in who he is Now. He believes that life is in the Now and that is where we should live from. He has a desire to share anything from his past to better your life, the community and world.
Practicing yoga helped Laura transform her life to focus on the present moment. It also inspired her to take action in her life, leading to a bigger appreciation of her surroundings.
Giving herself space to be “here” allows Laura to push herself in practice beyond the boundaries she sets herself. Her goal as a teacher is to let students find their edge, which is often much farther than they believe.
Laura’s classes give you space to find what you are capable of in each practice. Every day is an opportunity to move forward or take a step back. You have the power to see what you need in each moment.
Morelia was first introduced to yoga by her older sister Amanda in the early 2000’s. Amanda was in teacher training in Minneapolis at the time and in need of a practice student. After years of aimless drifting Morelia realized “No matter where you go, there you are.” She returned to her hometown of San Antonio, her family and yoga. With a renewed sense of purpose she began yoga teacher training in 2015. Three years later she is an experienced yoga teacher. She understands that not everything in life is always sunshine and rainbows. Yoga and life are both about balance. You must embrace the dark to reveal the light. The energy she brings to her teaching is one of humor and empathy. She especially loves teaching new students because in many ways she is still one herself.
We are from all different places and backgrounds but have a common goal. Share our love of the practice of yoga and how it has transformed our lives. Our commitment to you is to be fully present, compassionate, honest, authentic and full of support, laughter and smiles.
