AC Power Yoga teaches Yin Yoga because it is vital for a balanced approach in your practice on and off your mat.
The two major differences between a Yin an Yang (muscular) practice are that Yin postures are done with the muscles relaxed and held for at least 5 minutes. This is because in Yin Yoga you work connective tissue and it does not stretch like muscle. Muscle needs rhythm and repetition where connective tissue needs time. Yin Yoga will also better prepare you for meditation.
This class will teach you acceptance, patience and compassion.
